Fort Mantanzas NM
The Spanish completed Fort Matanzas in 1742 to defend the southern approach to their military settlement at St Augustine which lay 14 miles to the north, on the Matanzas River. Cowpens National Battlefield
After our post Christmas family trip to Lake Keowee, we took the Cherokee National Scenic Highway north to Cowpens NB. We saw three turkeys on the way in to the park.
