We spent July 4th weekend at Sadler Creek SP on Lake Hartwell in South Carolina. The entire family, plus extended family and friends came. At this park it is all about the water! Our campsites had access to a tiny beach where our kayaks, canoes, and floats were lined up – ready to help us beat the summer heat.
The new star of the watercraft fleet was Anna’s paddleboard, which she graciously shared with all.
The kids love to watch this slo mo video!
More canoes, kayaks, and rafts.
Campsite fun included balloons, lights, and painting.
Marshmallows and sparklers around the campfire are always hits.
We celebrated sunset each night. Sometimes in a flotilla; sometimes on the rocks.
As the sun sets on this trip, I hope we are creating a new tradition! We last visited three years ago for July 4th weekend in 2022. See our blog post of that visit to see how the grandkids have grown since then. Until next time (in fact our reservations for next year are already made).
