We picked up our new Tab 400 teardrop in late January 2022. Since then, the Tab has been on 11 trips, including longer trips to Kentucky and Mississippi. We spent 38 nights and drove a total of 6,722 miles. We camped in 6 states and visited 9 state parks. For seven of the 11 trips we had family members along. That is the statistic that makes me happiest, since we are all about family travel.
National Parks
In 2022 we visited 21 National Park Sites (NPS). Since we started our journey to visit all 423 NPS sites in 2018, we have visited a total of 58. We have visited all of the parks in Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Puerto Rico by the end of 2022.
Georgia State Parks
We are making slower progress on our goal to visit the 63 Georgia State Parks. We have visited 13 since 2020, including five in 2022.
Blog Posts
I started Bishop’s Next Move in October 2021 when we ordered the Tab. It gives me a great platform to keep track of our travels. Since then I have made 26 blog posts.
Goals
When we camp in a state, we celebrate by adding that state’s sticker to the map on the side of our Tab. But as our oldest son said, there is plenty of open blank space on our US travel map. We look forward to filling in more stickers next year!
