This is our fourth year traveling in the Tab and the eighth year of our National Park quest. This year the Tab has been on three trips to state parks in Georgia and South Carolina.
We also flew to Alaska for a two-week trip with our grandson (without the Tab).
Lake Clark NP, Alaska
Bahamas
We spent 10 days in the Bahamas with family to celebrate my retirement.
2025 Camping Summary
We spent 14 nights camping in the Tab in 2025 and drove a total of 443 miles. We camped in 2 states and visited 3 state parks. For the state park trips we had family members along. In fact, all six kids, all six grandkids, and extended family and friends came on all three trips. Camping with family has been a long-standing Bishop tradition.
National Parks
This year was a quiet year for national park travel. In 2025 we visited 4 NPS sites, including three National Parks on our Alaska trip. Since we started our journey to visit all 433 NPS sites and all 63 National Parks in 2018, we have visited a total of 124 NPS sites, including 12 National Parks. We did not fully complete any states’ NPS sites this year.
Georgia State Parks
We were able to visit more state parks this year. In 2025 we visited 11 Georgia state parks and historic sites (including camping at one Georgia state park). In total we have visited 30 of the 63 Georgia State Parks since 2020.
Skidaway SP – Spring Break
South Carolina State Parks

Sadler Creek SP – Memorial Day
Devils Fork SP – Labor Day
Blog Posts
I have enjoyed documenting our travels on Bishop’s Next Move since October 2021. I completed seven posts in 2025 for a total of 51 posts since the blog’s inception. My very recent retirement should make it possible to catch up on the posts I am behind on.
Goals
We have a few plans on the books for next year – Arkansas, and possibly the mighty five in Utah and the Northeast for the nation’s 250th anniversary. We also hope to finally, finally finish up the states of Louisiana and Mississippi by visiting Cane River and Emmett Till on the Arkansas trip. 2026 will be the year of travel!
