Fort Mantanzas NM

The Spanish completed Fort Matanzas in 1742 to defend the southern approach to their military settlement at St Augustine which lay 14 miles to the north, on the Matanzas River. George T. Bagby State Park

Bagby has a lodge, marina, and cabins, but no camping. It has peaceful lake views and a day use area with a beach and playground area.
