Joe has many fond memories of the marina since his family kept a house boat here for many years (see the photo above). His family’s houseboat was in the slip on the far left of the above photo and his Uncle Joe Jr.’s houseboat was in the slip beside the boat with Christmas tree.
Florence Marina is on the GA-ALA state line on Lake Walter F. George. We revisited this state park to scope out the camping area. We were pleased to see large pull-through sites with a modern looking bathroom/laundry building.
